Dr. Adrijana Krsmanovic
Dr. Adrijana Krsmanovic is registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) to provide services to adults, with specializations in clinical and health psychology.
Training/Work Experience: Dr. Krsmanovic completed her Ph.D. from Queen’s University and her pre-doctoral clinical residency at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In addition to working at MindFit, Dr. Krsmanovic is a psychologist at the Pain Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and a part-time assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University. She is actively involved in clinical care, program development and evaluation, research, teaching, and supervision of learners in her various roles.
Presenting Concerns: Dr. Krsmanovic works with adults with a wide range of clinical concerns, including:
- Chronic pain
- Chronic health issues
- Low mood/depression
- Anxiety/phobias
- Insomnia/difficulties with sleep
- Adjustment to life transitions
- Stress
- Grief/loss
Approach: Dr. Krsmanovic believes in empowering individuals to make lasting changes to improve their quality of life. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach and uses evidence-based treatment to help members achieve treatment goals. She draws primarily from a cognitive-behavioural therapy perspective, but also integrates strategies from motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment frameworks.
Outside of MindFit: Dr. Krsmanovic enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, bike riding, and camping. She loves spending time with her husband and children, drinking coffee, and travelling to destinations off the beaten path!
