Susie Santacroce
Training/Work Experience: Susie earned her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology with distinction from Yorkville University. She also has over 12 years of experience working as a recreation therapist at Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital, where she supported children with chronic pain and brain injury rehabilitation. During this time, Susie collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and the Ministry of Health to develop Canada’s first inpatient rehabilitation program for teens with chronic pain and co-occurring mental health challenges. She has also worked in private practice supporting teens, parents of teens, and adults facing a wide variety of mental and physical health challenges.
Presenting Concerns: Susie works with teens, adults, and parents of teens with a variety of presenting concerns, including:

Approach: Susie offers a warm, accepting, respectful, and compassionate approach. She uses evidence-based approaches to develop collaborative care plans that are catered to members’ individual needs, interests, and goals. Susie aims to support an individual’s inner strengths and resources, empowering them to take steps toward lasting change with confidence.
Outside of MindFit: Susie loves spending time with her partner, fun and spunky toddler, and very playful Australian Shepherd. She is also passionate about sports, music, photography and spending time at the lake.
